Experience
I hold a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Oregon State University. I've worked in the technology field for more than three decades. One of my main tasks was to transform engineering concepts into reality. My prior experience taught me how to convey the most complex ideas so they could be executed. I have the ability and outlet to communicate the most complex concepts in the most practical, step-by-step method. Therefore, someone who never thought they could learn a complex subject, like calculus for example, come away with a complete understanding, wondering why they ever thought it was so difficult in the first place. When I tutor, I enjoy providing my students with a high level of knowledge well beyond their expectations. I am presently mentoring students in the following topic areas: Algebra, Middle School Math, Pre-Algebra, Pre-Calculus, Statistics, and Arithmetic. I especially love to teach statistics because it has multiple applications and is often misunderstood due to its complex nature. I enjoy sports and believe that I resemble a sports coach whenever I successfully teach a classroom filled with students of diverse backgrounds, skill levels, and personality types. I can successfully teach individual students or groups of students. Most of all, I think that lessons should always be fun. When I am not working my interests include travel and riding my bike.
