Experience
I earned my bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, with a minor in Natural Resource Management. I am available to tutor students in a wide variety of subjects, including math, science, English/ language arts, and social studies subjects. I have had success aiding students in their studies for standardized tests like the ACT, PSAT, or others, as well as tutoring in AP and IB classes like environmental science, theory of knowledge, and advanced mathematics. I have a lot of patience when working with students of all types, and because students are each different, I will spend as much time with each individual tutoring student as they need to thoroughly understand a subject. My first experiences with tutoring had me on the receiving end, and that gave me a lot of inspiration to tutor others when I gained sufficient knowledge and teaching methods to do so. I've learned so much about teaching and learning through the years, and can approach subjects from different points of view, using a variety of techniques, until my student gains a good understanding of the material. Outside of tutoring, I do like serving my community in a variety of ways, spending time with my dogs, and riding horses.
