Experience
I attended the University of Texas in Austin, where I earned my bachelor's degree in history. Now I'm pursuing my master's degree in Liberal Studies from the Arizona State University. I have experience tutoring many different subjects to students, including numerous subjects such as basic math, algebra, history, chemistry, literature, and just a lot of different academic subjects. I also have had success tutoring students who are studying for standardized exams, such as the SAT, GRE, and others. Also, I tutor students in a number of AP subjects. I'm certified in Texas as a general teacher for students in grades four through eight, and in high school math. I have had experience teaching a math class for middle school students, but the truth is, I prefer the one-on-one experience of tutoring. This gives me the opportunity to work with each student on a more personal level, adapting my teaching style to each student's strengths, interests, and challenges. I believe this individual attention can give many students a better chance to really achieve their fullest potential as a student. When I'm not tutoring, I enjoy hobbies such as hiking, writing, reading, and playing chess.
