Education
I am currently a Senior at the University of Arizona majoring in Economics and minoring in Mathematics, graduating in May 2016. I have a 3.7 GPA and have worked really hard to keep it up. I truly enjoyed my areas of expertise and also like to explore other topics that are unrelated to maintain a well-balanced knowledge base.
Experience
I've always been very passionate about education and the process of gaining and retaining knowledge through one's life. I've tutored at the SALT Center at the University of Arizona which has given me experience with students who have learning and comprehension disabilities. I've also worked with student athletes at the University of Arizona through CATS Academics which gave me experience in working with students with incredibly busy schedules. Additionally, I have been a preceptor (undergraduate teaching assistant) for a variety of courses at the UA including Calculus I, Differential Equations, and various Economics courses. Finally, I have been working as an instructor for a program housed at the University of Arizona. This workshop consists of the development critical literacies, such as academic, numerical, and media literacy, as well as efficient communication, tactics for presentations, educational research, and the use of comprehensive rhetoric. I've instructed this workshop for over two years and have extensive experience working with students in order to develop proper study skills in order to be successful throughout their education.
