I live in Tucson, Arizona, and I attended the University of Arizona here. I taught chemistry, astronomy, and earth science for years and am now retired. The subjects I would prefer to tutor include those previously mentioned, as well as algebra I and II, geometry, and other forms of math and science. Every person has the ability to learn. It just depends on the method of delivery, whether or not the learner will be successful in obtaining knowledge. Everybody must have a set of study skills that they follow. They should know how to use diagrams and provide written examples of evidence in subject matter. Once an instructor knows a student's struggles, these difficulties can be addressed and the student can be put back on the track to learning. I will do whatever it takes to identify weaknesses and work to iron them out.Now that I am retired, I enjoy spending my time mountain biking, hiking, and skiing.
