I am a teacher who truly understands the value and significance of education. Teaching is a part of who I am, and it has shaped my life. I can tutor students in writing, literature, English, reading, and a variety of other subjects. I can help students with test prep and public speaking, or with ESL. My career and studies are centered around the importance of educators and mentors. I'm currently working towards my Ph.D. in Teaching and Teacher Education at the University of Arizona. My long term goal is to become a professor, because being an educator is what I'm deeply passionate about. The research I'm conducting while I pursue my Ph.D. is directly related to education and teaching. I'm looking into the way that teachers see themselves as educators. Education and teaching are my motivators, and I am committed to bringing my enthusiasm for the learning experience to my role as a tutor. When I'm not studying or teaching I enjoy reading books and being active. I like doing yoga, getting a workout on the tennis courts, and gardening.
