Experience
I attended the University of Arizona, where I majored in Engineering Physics, Applied Mathematics, and Ecology and Evolutionary Biology. I began tutoring math in my sophomore year at Arizona after I took a course on tutoring methodologies and strategies. Under the guidance of the instructors, I developed a solid base for creating lesson plans to help students tackle their trouble subjects. I received recognition from the university's math department, which allowed me to accumulate an abundance of math tutoring experience. My tutoring technique involves periodically reviewing previous materials as the semester progresses. Approaching the materials in this manner eases the path to finals and helps to keep the student motivated to keep learning. I also enjoy keeping the lessons lighthearted, and I am very patient. I tutor Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Algebra 3/4, Precalculus, Calculus 1, Calculus 2, AP Calculus AB, Geometry, Trigonometry, Biology, Physics, Arithmetic, SAT Math, Ecology, Essay Editing, Science, and test preparation. In my free time, I enjoy board games, reading, camping, photography, playing the banjo, and Mario Kart.
