I'm currently attending the University of Arizona to earn degrees in computer science and Japanese. I'm on an academic scholarship as a National Merit Scholar. I had the opportunity to volunteer in Japan for several years, and while was there I taught students English. I taught groups of 3 to 25 in this role. I'm currently pursuing certification to teach the Japanese language. As a tutor, my favorite subjects are Japanese and math. I also enjoy helping students prepare for standardized tests like the ACT, PSAT, and SAT. I believe that to be a successful student, students need to understand not only the material, but they should also develop test taking skills, study skills, and other learning skills so that they can become self-sufficient. When I have free time, I like to play video games, indulge in Japanese culture, and program computers.
