MY BACKGROUND: I am a crime scene investigator with the Tucson Police Department. I am a Tucson transplant, originally from the SF Bay Area. I have training in bio-anthropology, human paleontology, forensic anthropology, and forensic/battlefield archaeology. I have conducted field and museum work in North America, South America, Africa, Europe, East/Southeast Asia, and most recently, the Central Pacific. WHAT I OFFER: Student mentoring and teaching: I have 8 years (2005-2013) of college-level teaching experience from 5 different colleges in New York (CUNY) and Arizona (UofA and Pima). Public speaking, presentation, and organizational skills: I have published and presented papers and organized symposium at professional conferences/meetings. Mandarin Chinese: I am a native speaker, reader, and writer (ILR Level 5). Science-oriented, critical thinking: “Do not indoctrinate your children. Teach them how to think for themselves, how to evaluate evidence, and how to disagree with you.” -- Richard Dawkins Analytics: how to collect, organize, interpret, and present data (and solve problems) using statistics.
