Experience
Teacher of Foreign Languages in Mexico: English, German, French, for two years. Taught a class on American Business Practices in Paris, France, at the Ecole Superior du Commerce for one week. Was a certified German language translator in the US Army for 2 years. Tutoring, for me, is an opportunity to help accelerate learning a subject, be it at the beginning level or at any other level. It is necessary to learn idioms as well as regular vocabulary and grammar, for example. This makes the language alive and accessible to the students. While I have specialized in teaching Languages in the past, I have also been successful at teaching History, Science, Government, and Music in High Schools and Grade Schools in Alaska and Arizona.
