Experience
I graduated from Bowling Green State University with a Bachelor of Science in Middle Childhood Education with concentrations in language arts and social studies. I am currently preparing to begin studies toward a Master of Arts in education at the University of Arizona and am a Coverdell Fellow with the Peace Corps. I am very experienced in education in traditional classroom environments and in settings outside of class. I am licensed in Arizona to teach kindergarten through grade eight, with experience tutoring in one-on-one settings in language and social studies, as well as specific assistance helping students in standardized test-taking. I am also experienced teaching students learning English as a second language and held a teaching role abroad as a volunteer with the United States Peace Corps. My strengths are in kindergarten through grade 12 reading and writing, literacy, essay construction and writing, history, and other coursework. I always ensure my lessons are tailored to students' abilities and work hard at helping them apply their skills to reach all of their academic goals. Away from class I like to read, play board games, travel, exercise, and spend time with friends.
