Hello! My name is Dan, and I'm an engineer who would love to help you with your math, science, or engineering problems. My background is in optical engineering, a branch of science related to lenses, telescopes, lasers, and other awesome engineering! I have been working in the industry for approximately ten years, and know this requires a lot of underpinning in the basics such as math and physics. I have always enjoyed dealing with math problems and working together with others to solve their problems. There is not just one way to work through most problems, and I will help you find a method of understanding that works for you. I have previously tutored many individuals, in subjects from English to Science, and have run elementary school outreach events, high school study groups, and associate taught college level classes. When I am not working, I love to enjoy everything that Tucson has to offer. I like outdoors activities, including rock climbing in the Catalinas, biking, running, and swimming. I am currently training for a half Iron Man Triathlon (wish me luck :D). I also am a big foodie, and love to cook and eat out at Tucson's great food scene. I have a very easygoing personality, and want to see people succeed. Success comes from belief that you CAN succeed, and that is best done in a comfortable and trusting environment.
